A Voice From The Past, Foretelling The Future.
That we humans have always refused to believe, could happen.
Throughout time, we’ve always been able to look back at the past and recognized, where things went off the rails. We often say, “hindsight is 20/20” or “hindsight is a bitch”. So undoubtedly we have the skills of recognition and understanding.
Yet, we’ve ignored the lessons & warnings of tyranny, totalitarianism, dictatorship, control, oppression, strife, slavery etc., practically 100% of the time. As a result, over centuries, we’ve relived these societal cancers over and over and over again.
It would be the same as watching 10 generations of a single family, succumb to, suffer from and die of alcoholism. Each member of that family, can look back and see the steps that led up to the eventual demise, of each of their numerous relatives…see how alcohol was the cause. They’d have acutely relevant hindsight & proof, from which to learn and then act on…but they ignore it all, in favor of continuing the tragic family legacy.
Dr. Malone posted the video, further below, in his stack today The future is now . I’m sure it will be reposted many times, as it’s a very astute piece of observation, on his part. It’s an interview of Aldus Huxley from 1958. Aldus Huxley was not a futurist, but was able to do something, we seem unable to do.
He could mentally carry an idea, technology, philosophy or agenda, out to it’s illogical conclusion. In doing so, he could envision the horrors, that might spring from those items and then he warned about what he saw. He presented a picture of a potential oppressive future and what we might do to have a say in or control it.
If you’ve never read his book “A Brave New World”, I urge you to do so. It’s short and an easy read, but invaluable.
As you watch this, try and apply the things of today, to his general premises, of yesteryear. Here’s a modern day Dot, that I connected, when he started talking about drugs and their effects on the behavior and controllability, of the general populous.
When he says “drugs” he’s talking about pharmaceuticals, that have the ability to make people happy, sad, docile, excited, calm, anxious, etc. Carry that forward to today and it isn’t really pills and drugs…it’s social media and whatever ends up becoming the “metaverse”. We’ve seen studies done tracking the brain chemical reactions that happen, during social media use, as well as the real world examples of suicides and psychopathic behaviors, fostered by it. It’s the modern day version of the drugs he describes, in his book and the interview.
One last thing. Mike Wallace (not a fan) represents the smug dissenter and his questions and tone, drip with an underlying film of “isn’t this just conspiracy theory on your part?" So many like him, throughout history, have convinced people that “this could never happen here, in our country, in our time, in my house”. He and many others, were the forerunners of controlled opposition. They just hadn’t named it that yet.
On to the show…Light, Camera…Action….
Much of what was predicted in "Brave New World" was based on inside information.
Aldous Huxley was the grandson of biologist Thomas Huxley, a fellow of the Royal Society and "Darwin's bulldog" in the late 1800s. Today's trans-humanism promoted by the likes of Yuval Harari at the Davos WEF, including the culling of the "useless people", is a direct successor of the Huxley/Darwin/Galton eugenics movement.
Aldous' brother Julian Huxley, an officer of the British Eugenics Society before WW2, was the first director of UNESCO after the war. Here's a quote:
"Thus, even though it is quite true that any radical eugenics policy of controlled human breeding will be for many years politically and psychologically impossible, it will be important for UNESCO to see that the eugenic problem is examined with the greatest care..."
-- Julian Huxley, "UNESCO: Its Purpose and Its Philosophy", 1947
