This is the first of many articles, with the specific goal of helping others understand, how the innumerable issues we’re currently living with, work synergistically to either subvert or destroy a societal system. No matter the circumstances or details of each, the collective end goal, is always the same…keep the Peasantry at the bottom and Elites at the top.
At one time, we were adept at connecting dots. That ability usually meant the difference between life and death, prosperity, and hardship. We could interpret signs that indicated coming seasonal changes, food source migrations (animal herds), poisonous flora and the presence of predators. It was second nature, a necessary and critical part of everyday life. We formed opinions, ideas, plans and beliefs, based on our own abilities. By using reason, logic, common sense, and observation we were able to comprehend and navigate any situation we faced.
Not only have we all but lost these abilities, but in many cases, we’ve been convinced to ignore them…and to instead TRUST THE EXPERTS…TRUST THE SCIENCE.
In this ongoing series, I’ll use some terms and premises that require explanation, to be useful tools in this process. I considered covering them all in this first issue, but quickly realized that would’ve been cruel, to both you and me.
So, let’s start with just two items. Keep in mind, these are not based on an ideological stance or even Webster’s definitions, but rather relevant observations of the reality, we’re seeing around the globe.
Terms:
Elite – Anyone that considers themselves above/outside the rules, laws and mandates they impose upon others. Anyone that ranks their ideas, wants, needs and endeavors above those of others, that they consider lesser in class & importance. Those elevated in status, wealth, notoriety, or fame by the peasantry.
Peasant – Anyone who is not an elite…basically you and me.
You, We, Us, Our – These terms refers to a general majority, with the understanding that the topic being discussed, may not apply to every single/individual person.
Premise:
The Three Things:
Throughout modern history, there have been three things (wants), humans have sought out and coveted. They’ve routinely traded their freedoms, safety, liberty, morals, integrity, intelligence, loyalty, faith, and most recently their families/children for just three things…Comfort, Convenience and Entertainment (distraction). The most potent of the three being Entertainment.
A fellow substacker, Sage Hanna, astutely pointed out that Security, should be added to the list, of things people will make those trades for (especially in todays world).
Check out her material. She has a unique & intelligent take, on a myriad of tops, with just the right amount of snark to get the point across.
Since there have been organized, hierarchical societies, the Elite classes have always understood this about the Peasantry and used it to great effect. Over time and with unwavering diligence of the lower Elites, the Peasants were convinced that these three things were not just “wants” but “needs” and eventually “rights”. Control of the Peasantry then became a simple matter of granting or denying these “rights”, in varying degrees, at key times. The Elites could then easily sow fear, apathy, discontent, hopelessness, division, rebellion, and subversion into a given societal structure, at will. The severity to which these stressors were applied, determined the level of control and subjugation the peasantry would accept...to get back to “normal”. Put another way, to maintain their perceived levels of Comfort, Convenience and Entertainment (distraction), the Peasantry would repeatedly agree to virtually any mandate or measure…to include tyranny and oppression.
History is replete with examples of this premises, but we only need look over the last 3 years, for a clear and relevant illustration…COVID.
Shortly after the failed “2 weeks to flatten the curve” gambit, the global regimes realized they could hold the following liberties for ransom, against the Peasantry: Healthcare (treatment, transplants and diagnosis), travel, employment, school, movies, sporting events, holidays, family events, funerals/wakes, shopping, running a business (unless you were under the protection of large corporations), mental health services, being outside, demonstrating (unless you were a leftist group), socializing with family/friends/peers (unless you were in the Elite classes of politician & celebrities) and much more…the ransom to be paid was compliance and obedience This was the overt manipulation of Comfort and Convenience, to apply stress to societal structures.
When wide spread push back began to rise, the regimes made the ransom call, via the lowest of the Elite classes and the peasant sectors, that were by then, true believers, “just mask up and get the jab and things can go back to normal. Keep refusing and you will just prolong the shutdowns and make it worse for everyone…it will be all your fault”.
They then used the age-old carrot and stick tactic…with Entertainment (distraction) being the carrot. Promises of returning sports events and movies, along with actual prizes, lottery tickets, scholarships, beer, food, and money were offered & given to those who obeyed, by masking up and taking the jab.
Why is this last, of the three things, the most potent? Because it’s almost always paired with the most dangerous, of the Elite classes…the Petite Elites…the beloved messengers. They will be discussed in subsequent articles, but suffice it to say, they are the salesman that stand between the upper Elites and the Peasantry…selling products, services, ideologies, and agendas.
A poignant example of this, can be seen in the success of Air Jordan shoes, via Nike’s association with Michael Jordan.
Have you ever stopped to ask, could Nike have sold billions of dollars’ worth of Air Jordan shoes ($1 billion in Q1/2020 alone), had the face of the brand been some unknown…someone totally unaffiliated with playing sports?
If they were superior shoes, it should matter not…right? Wrong!
Well, it just so happens, that Peter Moore (pictured above) designed the very first pair of Air Jordan I shoes, back in 1985 and is responsible for the well known “jump” logo. However, even with that knowledge, one could safely bet against the the masses buying even a single pair, of Air Moores.
Advertisers know that people readily form generational loyalties, practice hero worship and idolize well know public figures. Similarly, the Elites know that these beloved messengers not only have the power to sell products and services, but also agendas and ideologies.
Consider the following observations: the one and only intended use of these shoes, is to come in contact with the ground, yet many pairs sold, are never worn; many are never used for basketball; many who buy them don’t know how to play basketball; an entire industry has been built around re-selling “collectable” pairs; people routinely spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars for these SHOES. You can’t eat them; they aren’t made of/with precious metals; they can’t cure any known illness; they can’t be used to unclog your toilet and people will literally kill one another, to possess them.
Know any other shoes in the world, that can make such claims? No?
So, what sets them apart?
It’s the beloved messenger…The Petite Elite… named Michael Jordan.
This example was chosen, because with VERY few exceptions, virtually everyone on earth has heard of MJ and Air Jordan shoes. It is illustrative of the persuasive power someone, in his Elite stratum, wields over the peasantry…intentionally or not. Of course, not all the beloved messengers have achieved MJ’s global notoriety, but their numbers ensure that every sector of the Peasantry, can easily be reached.
Above is a collage of another 160 beloved messengers, that appeared in a 2021 People Magazine article, entitled “Celebrities and Politicians getting the Covid-19 vaccine”. Pictured are past & present politicians and spouses, doctors, a yacht captain, pop/rock/country/hip hop singers, adult & children’s authors, movie & TV actors, MSM presenters, all 9 of the SCOTUS judges, a NASCAR driver, the pope, clergy, the Dali Lama, fashion models, fashion designers, reality TV figures, royalty, Miss Universe, dancers, morning and late night talk show hosts, internet influencers, comedians, sports figures, former bureaucrats, an astronaut, a classical cellist, a feminist, LGBTQ…adjacent celebrities, a tech mogul, “journalists”, a weatherman, a film director…AND…one Peasant…she has the distinction of being the first person to take the jab, in the U.K. Hers is the last picture in the collage. These “celebrities” also cross political and ideological boundaries, so as you can see, just in this small sampling, virtually every avenue of Entertainment (distraction) used by the Peasantry, is covered.
There are thousands of other examples, where Petite Elites manipulate and/or influence the peasantry, some of which we will discuss in the next post.
