Kathy began being seriously sexually abused at five years of age. And within a family that we imagine functions to support and guide each other, especially the new lives that need nurturing and love. We have to pause there to try and absorb the full implications of Kathy’s experience. The abuse became routine. It’s exploitation on every level. And yet, compared to the other players, Kathy appeared to be the only adult. How absolutely heartbreaking.
I am relieved and happy that Kathy survived and has created one of the best missions a survivor can have. Nevertheless, I can’t help thinking of those who don’t have the inner resources or the advice and support of family, friends or counsellors. We don’t know them because they have no voice. The world has hollowed them out.
Ah, I saw both those comments yesterday and I really couldn't believe it - especially the claim that CSA is somehow easier to recover from than "transition"! That's pretty insulting IMHO. To both the survivors of CSA and to many, many detransitioners.
Have these people seriously never heard of John Money? He was a paedophile - in fact, he didn't even have to really hide it in his academic day job. He thought that he could prove his pet theories about "gender identity" when a pair of very young male twins (one of whom had lost his penis in a horrific circumcision accident) fell into his lap. As it were...
This may not generally be the case over in the PITT comment section, but I have frequently had the experience of autogynephiles and other gender identity aficionados trying to gaslight me as to the veracity of the claims that Money and Sigusch were both pro paedophilia and also that it was Sigusch who coined the slur "cis".
That said, many of these guys use DARVO at the drop of a hat against anyone who dares to counter their lies and they love to accuse others of having a "genital obsession". No. That's definitely them.

I agree with you. It's painful to even imagine what all of these people are suffering with.
